about

With a new name comes new music. I have some songs in the works and I had hoped to have a new release done by June, but that may not happen. This is a demo of a new(er) song of mine. It's a rough recording, but has a few instruments that were all one take tries, so it isn't perfect. This song is about traveling home from school for Winter Break and finding out just how much home has changed in the time that I've been gone. It seems to change more and more every time I go back. Better quality songs with more instrumentation coming soon.

lyrics

Another coal truck guides me half way home on 422 and at the end of this hour you know I'll be back in my room. 764 is around the bend and I start thinking about the state of my home and the friends that I've lost since the last time that I left town.
I'm not sleeping tonight. I'm not dreaming tonight.
Another night of wondering how long I've really been gone. Today I watched the sunset behind another shopping mall that used to be a hillside I always hoped that I'd explore. Now every week the bastards put in another store.
I'm not sleeping tonight. I'm not dreaming tonight.
Until I admit that the winter is here and it's January, just another year of growing older, but staying just the same. The climate is changing and this city is dying and if said I didn't already know I'd be lying. I find it rather hard to accept this change. When my old friends are becoming people that we said we'd never be, I just can't watch this homelife slip away. Tonight I'll drink myself to sleep because I don't wanna be 23 if this is what the future promises to bring.
